As Staff Engineer at e123, in the Product Incubation Team, you will be responsible for prototyping, developing, testing and implementing a set of products focused on attracting a new set of clients.
You will be building off a highly-regarded platform, 20 years in the making, that already solves a great many pain points for our existing clients. You will be extending that same problem-solving culture into new products to meet the needs of carrier and FMO clients.
Your role, working alongside the VP of Product, and VP of Engineering, will be to focus on product discovery and development for our carrier and FMO clients. Start by listening to customer needs, creatively ideate ways to solve problems, and then work to test new concepts, build MVPs and PoCs and bolster adoption and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to get customer input and first-hand understanding of customer needs and their desired outcomes.
- Rapidly create prototypes/MVPs to get customer feedback
- Day-to-day contributions to our various code repositories and tools
- Active involvement in collaboration sessions with other Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, and other team members.
- Contribute to achieving team’s goals as a hands-on engineer (architecture design, coding, reviews)
- Mentorship and coaching for other team members who may work with or under you as part of an Engineering Team
- Continuous-Learning to remain current on the technologies and tools in-use
- Providing constructive, helpful feedback both on source code and on processes and methodologies used
- Minimum of 5 years experience developing large-scale projects in a SaaS environment, with a proven track record of creating scalable and successful solutions.
- A track record of professional growth within a tech org – developer, lead, etc...
- Preference given to candidates with experience in highly-regulated environments.
- Experience using modular cloud technologies to integrate into new solutions and speed up time to market.
- Ability to interface successfully with multiple tech disciplines and teams
- Well versed in both front-end and back-end development
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
